22/05/20 - 18:52 HRS - STORES TO OPEN FROM JUNE 1ST - INCLUDING SUNDAYS

We will be opening our stores and other departments on Monday June 1st when “other shops” are potentially allowed to open as per the Government rules during the Coronavirus pandemic in the UK. This will also include the addition of Sunday trading.

We have seen many other furniture companies going against the government guidance and opening their stores this week. These companies are breaking the lockdown rules set out by the Government. 

Despite the extreme demand from customers for us to reopen our stores sooner we feel it would be morally wrong and irresponsible to go against the Government’s rules.

We are currently actioning the measures highlighted in our Covid-19 risk assessment and making all the necessary adjustments to ensure that our stores are safe for customers and staff members upon our return. It is extremely important that this is done correctly and not completed without foresight.

More information regarding the adjustments made to our stores and processes to ensure we are fully Covid-19 Secure will be published next week.

Following the Government’s announcement our stores and all other departments will remain closed until at least the 1st of June. Our in store staff and all other departments aim to return on the 1st of June if the Government allows us to. 

We are currently making the necessary changes to the ways that we work to ensure our stores and all other departments are safe for both customers and staff when we return.

Further details will follow on how we are ensuring that all our stores and departments are Covid-19 Secure.

To track your order, you will need:

  • Your order number (contained in the subject header of your confirmation email)
  • The email address or phone number associated with your order.

All deliveries that have arrived into us will be set on our system at the status: 

 "Item Arrived, Ready to Deliver"

These customers will be contacted for delivery during the first two weeks in June assuming the assuming the reopening dates of retail stores are not moved backwards from June 1st by the government.

However, if your order isn’t quite ready then our manufacturing partners are now working around the clock to produce these orders as soon as possible. 

We are expecting all the orders that have not yet arrived into us to be with us by the end of June. These orders will have the system order status:

KC SOFAS - CLOSURE

Following the Government's announcement this evening. Our stores and all other departments will remain closed until potentially the 1st of June at the earliest. The government highlighted this may be possible if all targets are met in the coming weeks.

Manufacturers have been informed by the Government that they can return to work from tomorrow. But only when it is safe to do so. They must keep social distancing measures and introduce other hygiene practises. Some of our sofas may be produced in the coming weeks ready for when we open again. 

However no deliveries will be taking place until at least the first week in June when all our stores and other departments may be allowed to open if the Government's targets are met. All orders that are eligible to be delivered will be contacted in the first two weeks in June to arrange delivery. All orders that are still at the production stage will be manufactured as soon as possible. 

We are working closely with our manufacturing partners and delivery agents to ensure the necessary changes are put in place to allow all staff to work safely whilst following social distancing guidelines.

KC SOFAS - CLOSURE

Following the Governments announcement of the 3 weeks extension of the Nationwide lockdown. Our Stores and all other departments will remain closed until further notice. 

These are unprecedented times. All companies which fall into the restricted "non-essential retail" category have to follow the government's guidelines for the safety of staff and customers. 

Once the lockdown has been lifted by the government, our manufacturing partners and fulfilment teams will be working around the clock to get our customers orders processed through the manufacturing stages and then delivered to our customers once this is deemed safe for all of our staff and customers.

KC SOFAS - STORE CLOSURE

The safety and security of our customers and staff is always our top priority and with this in mind we have taken the decision to temporarily close all of our stores and departments by the close of business today, 23rd March, to help limit the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). 

Deliveries unfortunately will have to be placed on hold until further notice. Customers’ orders already placed will be temporarily put on hold and be fulfilled as soon as possible upon our return (as soon as your items are in stock from the manufacturer). We are extremely sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but it is a stance that we must take to help limit the spread of COVID-19.

Orders may be placed via our website. These orders will be fulfilled as soon as possible upon our return, once goods are received from the relevant manufacturer. The lead times listed online may be extended due to the current situation, due to manufacturer shut down. 

We look forward to welcoming you back to our stores as soon as possible, but in the meantime stay home, help those in need where possible and we’ll see you soon.

Coronavirus: KC Sofas Customer FAQ’s

Q: Why have you closed your stores?

KC Sofas are to temporarily close stores to customers by 4pm on Monday 23rd March. 
These are extraordinary times, and our absolute priority is to ensure the health and safety of our customers and staff.

As a precautionary measure against the ongoing risk of COVID-19, we have decided that, at 4pm on Monday 23rd March, we will temporarily close all KC Sofas stores to customers.

Deliveries unfortunately will have to be placed on hold until further notice. Due to the governments restrictions and also we are very mindful of advise regarding social isolation and social distancing. We are unable to offer our “delivery to the room” service. As our products are large, heavy and bulky we will not be offering a doorstep drop service at this time as we feel this would not be a viable or safe solution for our customers.  

Please be assured that this is only a temporary pause in operations and all outstanding deliveries will continue to be fulfilled upon our return.

You will continue to be able to browse and purchase our range online through the website, and have our products delivered directly to you once we are open again.

Our Staff are at the heart of the KC Sofas business and we are committed to supporting them in the best possible way during this complex and fast-evolving situation. We would like to thank our staff and manufacturing partners for their dedication and hard work through these unprecedented times.

Q: How long will stores be closed?  

At this time, all stores are closed until further notice. The situation is evolving day by day and we continue to follow it closely in line with government advice.  

Q: Can I still have a delivery if I purchase online? 

You will continue to be able to browse and purchase our collections via our website. You’ll be able to have our products delivered directly to you once we are back open. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Q: When will I receive my delivery?

Delivery lead-times are being affected due to operational constraints in our fulfilment channels. Our aim is to keep customers informed wherever possible to any order delays. But everyone must understand and appreciate that delays are inevitable at this unforeseeable time. We thank you for your understanding and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
